During the month of March, BancFirst-Tahlequah went to many awesome efforts to raise money for the HSCC shelter. This was their second year for their March for Paws event.
The wonderful employees and customers raised $804.18!
The HSCC staff, volunteers and rescues are forever grateful!
Spring has brought back longer sunshine hours and the HSCC’s Wednesday and Thursday evening dog walking has moved back to 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday times are still 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
If you’re newly interested in volunteering, fill out an application and information and directions will be sent to you. Thanks!
It’s time for our newsletter that is put together my dedicated volunteers. In this newsletter you’ll find updates about rescues, adoptions, and ways to support the HSCC.

Danke (pronounced don-ka) is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She’s great with kids, loves people and is outgoing. Her breed is best guess, possibly some Boxer. She is getting along well with her kennel mate, Wilbur. She has 4 white ‘socks’! You can come and visit her if you like, or take her for a walk, while she waits for her permanent home.
Besides standard shots, dogs are de-wormed, vaccinated for bordetella, heartworm tested, and microchipped!
Apply to adopt Danke.
See all adoptable rescues.
Starting today our dog walking hours are changing to winter hours.
Wednesday and Thursday will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday will stay at their same time of 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
