If you’ve looked around our county you know that we have a problem with neglected horses. In 2014, we have responded to over two dozen horse calls. These animals desperately need help and we and the Sheriff’s Office can provide that help but we have one small problem. We need someone to keep the horse safe, some place for them to go where they will receive food, water, and shelter while the paperwork goes through the court process. After that, we will move them to a horse rescue where they can be rehabilitated.
If you have land with good fencing and good grass that will hold one or two horses for a short period of time, please give us a call at
918-457-7997 and leave us your name, number and a message regarding the situation or fill out an application to volunteer and mention your interested in fostering:
We can get the horses to you, we will pay the vet bills, we will work with the court system and the Sheriff. We just need you to give them food, water, shelter, and some much needed TLC for a short time. This is a community problem and a community solution is needed so there is no monetary compensation – just the good feeling you get from doing the right thing. Be one of the good guys, call 918-457-7997 and help the horses today.
